This is something I don't do very often so when I found a little trick today I thought I'd better make myself a reminder. On the screenshots below you don't need the helper graphics but they help illustrate this article.
- make sure plan view is set to true north, not project north
- determine true north vs project north and the angle between them, then rotate true north (from a pivot point) from true to project north
- set the plan to project north & manually rotate the true north arrow back to it's correct heading.
